STUDIO A SALON CELEBRATES CINCO DE MAYO WITH FESTIVE FIESTA AND FUNDRAISER
EVENT BENEFITS THE NON PROFIT, FRIENDS ARE BY YOUR SIDE

On Tuesday, May 5 Studio A Salon owner, David Armendariz entertained two hundred A-listers at his chic West
U Salon (2411 Sunset Blvd.) for an authentic Cinco de Mayo celebration planned by Lily Paxson-Salinas of Lily's
Events. The festive fiesta raised funds for the non-profit, Friends Are By Your Side with a silent auction featuring
salon services, original artwork by Edgar Medina and Mexican folk art. Beautiful models with hair adorned in
brightly colored flowers provided informal modeling of Chloe Dao designs.

While Dee Jay Kittie set the mood with lively tunes, guests enjoyed Margaritas, Mexican beer, champagne,
savory bites by Tacos El Ranchero and Mexican pastries from El Bolillo Bakery. The highlight of
the evening was a dynamic performance by Sin Fronteras Ballet Folklorico. Studio A Salon launched luxury retail
brands Shu Uemura and MUD (Make-up designory) that night, and lucky guests took home goodie bags filled with
products from Shu Uemura, MUD and Kerastase.

Referred to as “Houston’s color wizard,” by Allure magazine, Studio A Salon owner, David Armendariz, is happy to provide expert interviews, client photos and makeup/hair styling for live models for your upcoming summer beauty features.
